Murder Mystery of 1926

"The Sma' Glen Murder Mystery of 1926" kept a large number of Rotarians guessing when Johnathan Miller presented a fascinating tale of the death of a horse-drawn van driver at the Foulford Inn.   The unfortunate victim was Alexander Chalmers who was an employee of D & J McEwan, Crieff.

Following an inquiry into the incident Sheriff Valentine and a jury, sitting in Perth, recorded a verdict of accidental death.

In response the Dundee Courier ran an editorial which stated that until outstanding questions were answered the Sma' Glen mystery could never be considered solved.
